Anyone know of where I can get the OptiTex fashion software for a reasonalbe price? ?
I found OptiTex 2D/3D CAD/CAM, fashion and textile design software. Coolest product for designing clothes, but pricey.
Legally? Nowhere. You might be able to buy from someone closing down a shop and see if they can transfer the license, you would need to check opti-tex’s web site to see if they allow license transfers. If you are a serious designer is worth it to pay full price for a fully supported version of the software. Ask you accountant if it qualifies as a capital expense on your balance sheet, then it can be deducted as an business expense or it can be added as an asset, or something like that. I’m not sure, that’s why I have an accountant who know this stuff, so I can afford technology that helps me be more cost efficient. The marker tool has already helped me cut down on material costs and waste.
