Lithography Techniques
I’ve researched for Months for a printing technique from the 1800′s Please Help? (details)?
This is a very large print, lithograph, but it is like a reverse painting. The back is like chalk or gesso. It is slightly pitted but does not effect the appearance of the picture from the front. It came from Europe, the artist is Master Painter…Murillo, B.(Spain). The dots normally found in lithography are there, but smudged. It is in color, similar to coffee-stain, typical Andalusian golden hues. Planographic, but no paper is involved, as far as I can see.
