Graphic Calculator
Which graphic calculator should I get?
Since I have never used a graphic calculator and I don’t really NEED one, I thought I would get a casio FX-9860G SD since it seems easier to use, but the TI-89 Titanium sounds good. Which do you think I should get as my first?
Use whatever your teacher recommends. If you are taking a course which requires a graphics calculator, your teacher will recommend a specific model, that would be the model that your teacher is most comforatble with using and teaching with. If you are using the same model as your teacher, learning to use the calculator, which is a chore in itself, will be a lot easier.
Most teachers use the TI-83 or 84. The TI-89 is overkill, it’s not particularly user friendly, and it’s not allowed in some exams. So check with your teacher.
