Photoshop DPI and image size help?
Low-Res Art – The supplied artwork did not meet our resolution requirements of 300-600 dpi at 100% size.
I am making stickers 4.25 inches by 4.25 inches. So I saved the template in this format at 72 dpi in photoshop. Bu when I change it to 300 dpi the image is resized to 1.02 by 1.02 inches. What do I do? Is this okay?
You can resample it and make it the size you want but since the art was insufficient to begin with, you are going to loose quality in a raster image when you increase the size. There are a finite number of pixels in the image. When you increase the size of it, the software simply extrapolates from the pre-existing pixels to make the image larger.
I would recommend vectorizing it especially if the image is graphics. Use a tool such as this:

Bring the image back into Photoshop, scale it to requirements. If the art is to be professionally printed, Vectors are preferable anyway. However the image can be scaled up and re-rasterized if your assignment requires a bit mapped image.
